Join Holly Payberg-Torroija and Christy Poggi for this unique half day retreat where you’ll learn a series of storytelling techniques, that will help you create go-to characters you can use over and over again to imbue every role with bold, authentic choices that get you remembered. What you can expect...
- Quick intros and relaxation exercises to help set the creative space.
- Discussions about how and why you should typecast yourself.
- A mixture of fast paced writing and Meisner exercises designed to help you find and develop the go-to characters you were born to play.
- Practice making bold choices in a mock-audition setting.

About The Presenters
Holly Payberg-Torroija is a writing coach and founder of Loving The Process, where she helps people with great ideas become writers with great books and scripts. As a coach, Holly draws from her 20-plus years of experience as a writer/producer in Hollywood, to coach writers through every step of the process from concept to completion. She is a graduate of both The Second City sketch writing and Improv programs. And has a history of working in all aspects of the business from her early days on set working on high profile projects like FRIENDS and ANALYZE THIS, to her development days working as Director of Development for Signature Pictures, and partner in June Bug Pictures, to writing/producing her own indie content such as the family comedy THE GUARDIANS, and show running several award winning digital series THE SEX TRADE, GG'S JAVA JOINT and FEATHERS AND TOAST. Christy Poggi is the Studio Director and Acting Instructor at Art's Sake Studios. She has also been an Art’s Sake Resident Ensemble & Art’s Board Member for 15 years. Professional Videographer for Casting Directors from Miami to New York. Play de Luna producer, director, lead actress. Advanced Intensive teaching assistant for 7 years. Empathy Workshop Instructor. B.A degree in Theatre from Coastal Carolina University. Founding member, producer, director and actor for The SC Syndicate. Orlando International Fringe Festival lead actress, producer. Co-founder of the award winning company I.d.10-t Productions. Former teaching assistant to Larry Silverberg. Meisner Advanced Teaching certification with renowned Meisner instructor Larry Silverberg.
